Description
Description: The eBioV.7C7 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse endomucin, which was identified in a search for cell-surface expressed endothelial cell markers. Endomucin is a 75 kDa type I integral membrane protein, with similarities to the sialomucin family of proteins including extensive O-linked glycosylation. Endomucin is expressed on endothelial cells, however, an exception is the high endothelial venules (HEV) of secondary lymphoid organs. In addition, it has been demonstrated that endomucin is expressed on CD34-c-Kit+Sca-1+Lin- hematopoietic progenitors, and that these cells are capable of multi-lineage long-term reconstitution of the hematopoietic compartment. Applications Reported: This eBioV.7C7 (V.7C7) antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis, immunoprecipitation, immunoblotting (WB), and immunohistology staining of paraffin embedded tissue sections. Applications Tested: This eBioV.7C7 (V.7C7) antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of bEnd.3 cells. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Purity: Greater than 90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Endomucin (EMCN) also known as endothelial sialomucin or mucin-like sialoglycoprotein interferes with the assembly of focal adhesion complexes and inhibits interaction between cells and the extracellular matrix.Specifications
