Description

Description

AA Sequence of recombinant protein: VTIPSSCCTS FISKKIPENR VVSYQLANGS ICPKAGVIFI TKKGHKICTD PKLLWVQRHI QKLDAKKNQP SKGAKAVRTK FAVQRRRGNS TEV. Preparation: Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine Eotaxin-2 (CCL24). Anti-Murine Eotaxin-2 (CCL24)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Murine Eotaxin-2 (CCL24) matrix. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Murine Eotaxin-2 (CCL24) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Murine Eotaxin-2 (CCL24) (500-P175GBt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine Eotaxin-2 (CCL24). Western Blot: To detect Murine Eotaxin-2 (CCL24) by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Murine Eotaxin-2 (CCL24) is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Eotaxin 2 belongs to the subfamily of small cytokine CC genes. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity on resting T lymphocytes, a minimal activity on neutrophils, and is negative on monocytes and activated T lymphocytes. The protein is also a strong suppressor of colony formation by a multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cell line.
