GluR2 (extracellular) Polyclonal Antibody, Invitrogen™
Guinea Pig Polyclonal Antibody
Brand: Invitrogen PA5111823
Additional Details : Weight : 0.01000kg
Description
Reconstitute antibody with 50 μL of double distilled water (DDW). The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4 degrees C for up to 1 week. For longer periods, small aliquots should be stored at -20 degrees C. Avoid multiple freezing and thawing. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10000 x g 5 min). Peptide sequence is: NVGNINNDKK DETYR(C) Homology: Mouse amino acid residues identical; human - 14/15 amino acid residues identical.
The ion channels activated by glutamate are typically divided into two classes. Those that are sensitive to N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) are designated NMDA receptors (NMDAR) while those activated by alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5 -methyl-4-isoxalone propionic acid (AMPA) are known as AMPA receptors (AMPAR). The AMPAR are comprised of four distinct Glutamate Receptor Subunits designated (GluR1-4) and they play key roles in virtually all excitatory neurotransmission in the brain. The GluR2 subunit is thought to play a key role in forms of synaptic plasticity such as LTD.Specifications
