Description
Gold gauze is used to trap mercury vapors during the analysis of mercury by cold vapor-atomic absorption spectrophotometer (CVAAS). It is also used as a surface for condensation of mercury. Further, it is used as an electrode in electrochemistry for the reduction of uranium(V).
