Description
HEPES is widely used in cell culture. HEPES is used to neutralize the complex proteins in growth medium that may inactivate trypsin during trypsinization. N-2-hydroxyethylpiperazine-N-2?-ethanesulfonic acid (Hepes) has been tested as an alternative to tris-(hydroxymethyl)aminoethane (Tris) for hydrogen-ion buffering of algal cultures. Separation of human platelets from plasma proteins including factor VIII VWF by a combined albumin gradient-gel filtration method by using HEPES buffer. May be used in isoelectric focusing applications and as a buffer in the quantitative and selective measurement of antigen-antibody reactions.
This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
