Thermo Scientific™ HyperSep Silica SPE 96-Well Plates and Individual Wells feature a polar sorbent primarily used to retain analytes in nonpolar matrices, and can effectively separate compounds of very similar structure. Typical applications include:

Extraction of polar compounds including aldehydes, amines, drugs, pesticides and herbicides

Extraction of carotenoids, fat-soluble vitamins, aflatoxins in food matrices

Extraction of fatty acids and phospholipids

The high quality silica material used in HyperSep Silica SPE 96-Well Plates and Individual Wells adsorbs analytes from nonpolar solvents like hydrocarbons, less polar esters and ethers. The sorbent is also suitable for use as an intermediate strength cation exchanger in aqueous medium.
