Description
L-(+)-Asparagine acts as a precursor to aspartate. It is also used as a diuretic. It is also employed in the biosynthesis of glycoproteins and proteins. It acts as a food additive. It reacts with reducing sugar to yield acrylamide, which finds application in french fries, potato chips, and toasted bread. It plays an important role in the function and development of the brain.
