The Thermo Scientific Pierce Power Staining kits are designed for fast Coomassie dye staining of protein gels. The Pierce Midi Gel Power Staining Kit enables rapid Coomassie dye staining of proteins in midi-size polyacrylamide gels and the removal of unbound stain from the gel matrix.
- High performance—performance is equivalent to, or better than, traditional Coomassie dye staining techniques
- Fast—optimized ionic solutions enable rapid Coomassie dye staining of protein and gel destaining.
- Compatible—verified to work with commonly used precast and homemade SDS-PAGE gels
Traditional Coomassie dye staining techniques require staining for one hour to overnight and prolonged destaining for desired results. When used together, the Pierce Power stain solution, destain solution, and gel pads enable efficient staining and destaining in minutes with results equivalent to, or better than, traditional Coomassie dye staining techniques.
