Description

Selectively isolate Helicobacter pylori from clinical samples such as gastric biopsies with Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Helicobacter Pylori Selective Agar. Due to the addition of antimicrobial agents cefsulodin and amphotericin B in the formulation, the medium provides selectivity against Candida species. Helicobacter Pylori Selective Agar has been shown to achieve a higher isolation rate of H. pylori and present a lower contamination rate from other flora when compared to Skirrow’s medium and chocolate blood agars¹.

H.pylori are Gram-negative bacilli that are associated with a number of gastric conditions, chiefly gastritis and peptic ulcers^{1, 2, 3}

Use Helicobacter Pylori Selective Agar for the isolation of H. pylori from clinical samples.
