Platinum 30 wt% Rhodium wire, 0.5mm (0.02in) dia, ISA Type B Standard Grade Thermocouple is used in the glass industry for furnace linings and complex fabrications. It is used as a catalyst in the preparation of nitric acid and in rayon spinnerets. It is used as a device for measuring high temperatures. It serves as a catalyst in the oxidation of the ammonia by atmospheric oxygen to produce nitric oxide, through Haber process.
