Description
Useful for stabilizing sulfhydryl-containing enzymes1,4-Dithio-DL-threitol is used as a protective agent in preventing oxidation of thiol groups and reagent for the reduction of disulfide groups in proteins. It is employed to investigate a-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase function, flavin cofactors in proteins and protein moieties involved in peroxide reduction. It is also useful for stabilizing sulfhydryl-containing enzymes.
