Microplates
Microplates
Microplates are sealable multi-well plates that are used for a variety of applications, including assays, cell culture, sample storage, nucleic acid or protein quantification, and sample filtration. Typically made of plastic or glass, microplates are available in multiple formats, including 24-, 48-, 96-, 384-, 864-, and 1536-well plates, and strips of wells that fit into plate frames. Different well-volume capacities, well shapes, plate colors, and plate coatings are available. Lids, film, tape, caps, or mats can be used to seal the plates during assay processing, incubation, or storage. Some microplates are compatible with high throughput applications.
